One of the greatest criticism's of the Occupy movement is that the protesters do not have a clear understanding of their own motivations, yet the general consensus is that the way our (the citizens') government operates is not in the best interest of the citizens. In an era that promises increased transparency, the ties between campaign donations, advisers and private interests are frequently understated or unpublished. I would be interested to hear an argument against the campaigning reform that Sachs discusses toward the end of the article. I could commiserate with folks who desire change that was promised, and I would be pleased if that change began with the way a campaign is run.
